AC Infinity Multifan S4, 140mm USB Personal Fan
Our family had gone on a vacation overseas. We had gone to various major attractions and it was very hot. We had gone to the malls and it was great because the malls had a lot of cool stores and also the malls had excellent air conditioning. Because we were tourists and on vacation, we were allowed to eat a lot of the more tastier and less healthy foods. To be honest, I didn't know the difference as everything seemed super tasty and delicious to me.
We eventually found a shop that sold handheld folding fans. We bought a bunch of them and thought that they were the coolest things ever. Some had plastic blades and intricate cut outs in them. There were some that had a plastic frame and fabric for the body with really pretty and intricate prints on them. The folding hand fans were really great. I loved them, but they didn't help with cooling as much as I thought they would because the cooling they provided wasn't constant and it required expending muscle energy to keep the cooling going.
Eventually, we kept shopping and found battery operated personal fans with spinning fan blades. I thought these were pretty cool and awesome too. We bought a bunch of them as they were relatively inexpensive. We put the batteries in and turned the switch on and they worked just as expected. They weren't too loud and they generated a nice stream of moving air to keep us cool. But, because they were meant to be portable and pocketable, they didn't have a fan guard for the blades. It wasn't really an issue, but the blades could hurt the skin a bit if they made contact when the fan was on.
Towards the end of our vacation, we were to take my cousin to the airport. I had actually never met this cousin before until this current vacation. She was very nice. We brought our family members and gathered together to send off our cousin. I loved being in the airport as the architecture seemed really beautiful and technologically advanced and it felt like something out of a video game. It was also really intriguing because of the all the interesting shops and food kiosks. I didn't feel a lot of sadness seeing my cousin off because I wasn't very close to this cousin and she was actually flying off to school in our home country. She was immigrating there and would be living with our family once we finished our vacation in a few more weeks.
Not long aftewards, we flew back home and our cousin went to stay with us. We weren't very close to the university, but it wasn't too bad of a commute for my cousin. Sometimes, we would pick her up from the train station and take her home with us. There were a few times we would take her out to dinner with the entire family just to spend some time together.
I loved the battery-operated fan because it reminded me a lot of our vacation overseas and bringing our cousin back to start a new life in our country. I liked how it would keep me cool without having to use muscle energy. After awhile, the fan wasn't used so much and eventually packed away. I found it again some time later and there was a lot of corrosion from the batteries, so I ended up throwing it out.
As I got older, I needed a wee bit of help with cooling. I used to use a larger desktop fan, but it was a little too much and provided too much airflow even at the lowest setting. I probably needed a desktop fan with an ultra low mode or something very near an ultra low mode.
I ended up getting this AC Infinity S4 fan (140mm) and it worked great. It seemed to be really high-quality and had excellent build quality. It was powered by USB and it had an off setting and low, medium, and high modes. I found that I was almost always using the low mode more than the medium mode. To me, the high setting was too loud and made too much of a hum noise because of the high-speed, so I didn't use that mode at all. Most of the time, the low and medium modes worked out great. The fan provided just enough of a breeze to keep me cool. I usually had the air conditioning on to keep the air temperature reasonable in the summer, but I didn't like having the air conditioning on too intensely. I would have the AC Infinity fan on just to help give that little extra bit of cooling. I liked the rubber feet because it kept the fan in place and it served as an anti-vibration system when the fan was on. I ended up using the fan from the Spring until the Autumn. Unlike the battery-operated fan I had as a kid, this one had a fan blade guard.
